Egyptian democracy (which does not exist)

Egyptian journalist, Hamdi Qandil, writes about repression of freedoms of expression under the Mubarak family dictatorship. He then describes the kind of democracy that Egypt needs. (Hamdi Qandil is married to famous Egyptian actress, Najla' Fathi. I had a huge crush on her while growing up. I met Qandil in Beirut recently but I did not dare ask him about Fathi or reveal my youthful crush on his wife).
