“Childhood between the grave sites”
You rarely read accounts by those who grew up in refugee camps. You need to read the account of a brave struggler, Nidal Hamad, Childhood between the Grave Sites. Nidal lost his leg and suffered other injuries from an Israeli tank shell during.. the Sabra and Shatila massacre. I met Nidal in Oslo and he remains a full-time activist. His book captures something that you don't see in the literature: accounts of people you don't hear about.
