Angry Arab in UK
My schedule in UK is set between March 3rd and March 10th. I will speak at Oxford, SOAS, and Manchester. I do apologize to my hosts at Cambridge, Edinburgh, and Birmingham. My hosts at Oxford felt that the tight schedule would not permit the addition of other events especially given my delicate nature.

Zionist hoodlums
Shoghig alerts me that some Zionist hoodlum(s) with no talents have been using my name to leave Zionist comments on the website of Haaretz. Let me tell you how can you tell that it can’t be me: Angry Arab would NEVER EVER leave comments on Israeli websites.

Saudi news
A Saudi source sent me this (she does not want to be identified): “Noura Al-Faiz was the Director of the Institute of Public Administration-Women Section. She is extremely cautious due to the religious establishment attacks on the progressive institue. Ibrahim al-Ghaith, now the ex -head of the religious police and his hires always had it [...]

Bringing democracy to Iraq…my potato
“The US military announced on Saturday it has struck deals with Iraq that will see Baghdad spend $5 billion on American-made weapons, equipment and training. The money is being spent on “military equipment, supplies and training from the US†through a foreign military sales programme, it said in a statement released in Baghdad.”

Religious fanaticism of Hamas (or whoever else is behind it)
This is quite a disgusting website of Hamas. It aims–as it says–to combat “nudity and explicitness” in the media. It basically combines sexism, intolerance, homophobia, puritanicism, fanaticism, obscurantism, and backwardness. What does that mean? Neither Fath, nor Hamas. (thanks Zeina)PS I am told that this may not be directly connected to Hamas, and that it [...]

Saudi annoucements and appointments
I don’t have time to talk about the Saudi announcements yesterday but the significance has to do more with the succession struggle within the royal family. The King vomited his royal decrees when Sultan was out of the country, and when Nayif seems to also suffer from an illness. Is this the end of the [...]

Conspiracy? What damn conspiracy?
“The United States knew in advance, of Ethiopia’s plan to move into Somalia to flush out radical Islamist movement leaders which had at one time declared a jihad, an Islamic holy war against Ethiopian interests, before the military intervention.”

Somali developments
I received this before the official announcement, but here is this message from our regular (and “highly-placed”) source in Somalia: “Hope you are doing fine. Since his election, the new somali president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed is trying to nominate a Prime minister who will be in charge of forming a new national unity government. [...]

Beacon of freedom
“Army Pvt. Brandon Neely was scared when he took Guantanamo’s first shackled detainees off a bus. Told to expect vicious terrorists, he grabbed a trembling, elderly detainee and ground his face into the cement — the first of a range of humiliations he says he participated in and witnessed as the prison was opening for [...]

The lies of Nusseibeh
Did I not tell you that Nusseibeh was lying two weeks ago when he said that his university would start a boycott of Israeli universities? ““We do a lot of projects with Israel,†he continued. “I get criticism for it because many Palestinians want to boycott Israeli educational institutions. But the West Bank economy is [...]

Free enterprise
“Arbitrary mass layoffs of UAE nationals by private sector companies breach the law and the country’s traditions, according to Dubai police chief Lt Gen Dhahi Khalfan Tamim.” (thanks ls)

A Zionist job
“She acknowledged that she was prepared to kill for her country. “To kill and assassinate, though it’s not strictly legal, if you do it for your country, it’s legitimate.— (thanks Carlos)

Donna Abu-Nasr
I met Donna Abu-Nasr a few times in 1993. But here dispatches from Saudi Arabia have become exceedingly apologetic. I mean this report is quite out of whack, especially when she interviews an editor of mouthpiece of Khalid Al-Faysal to comment on the annoucements by Saudi King: “”This is the true start of the promises [...]

Please mark your calenders
Please mark your calenders. The King of Saudi Arabia has called for a special prayer for rain in Saudi Arabia next Wednesday. He also called for an increase in repentance and in seeking forgiveness from God. He also called for insistence in prayer. I insist that that royal family be overthrown NOW.
