“Armed with a $4 million grant from the Army, scientists are studying brain signals to try to decipher what a person is thinking and to whom the person wants to direct the message.” (thanks Nabeel)

“The series dubbed in Arabic became so popular that the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia made comments about it, describing it as “anti-Islamic, delusional, wicked and sinful,” according to the Saudi Al-Watan newspaper. The grand mufti also attacked the satellite channel airing the series — which is, in fact, Saudi- owned.” (thanks Hicham)

“The recent referendum shows that the Morales government has increased its mandate to a landslide margin, by delivering on some of the changes that the electorate had voted for, and offering the majority of Bolivians a realistic hope for a better future. “According to a new report released this week in Mexico City by the Population, Border and Migrant Affairs Commission, for every three adults deported from the United States there is one child abandoned and left behind. But what is even more shocking and deserves further scrutiny from Congress and the American people is the documentation [...]

Drunk Zionism. “More than 10 young Israelis were detained at the Ayia Napa resort in Cyprus in recent days on charges of drunk driving and unruly behavior at clubs and hotels. Several other Israeli youngsters were held at the Larnaca International Airport after misbehaving and being rude to local police. Some of the Israelis were [...]

“This is no longer 1968 and the invasion of Czechoslovakia, when a great power invaded a small neighbor and overthrew its government.” I like this position of principle by Rice. I mean, can you imagine a great power, like the U.S., invading a small country (neighbor or not a neighbor) and overthrowing its government? The [...]

It is amazing how daring Saudi media has become in their criticisms of Bush, now that he is weeks from the end of his term. One Saudi “news” website is even peddling rumors that he was drunk in China. House of Saud found new courage which will last to the end of this presidential term.
