The BBC used to be a fine news service. Look at it now. It is on the level of Fox News–”fair and balanced,” I mean. Look at this Ian Pannel. He might as well be a press assistant for Tony Blair. Look at this passage: “Most of the demonstrators were probably pro-Hezbollah. The militant Islamic [...]

“A young woman protester managed to disrupt a press conference by Tony Blair at the end of a Lebanon trip which was boycotted by political leaders of the powerful Shia community.” Even the Druze Minister, Ghazi Al-`Aridi (a member of Jumblat’s own party) boycotted the visit.

This is the column by the brave Egyptian journalist, `Abdul-Halim Qandil, who was roughed up by goons of the Mubarak regime last year. This column (click to enlarge) ends with: “Yes, o Mubarak. I feel shame that you are president. I feel disgust. I feel that I want to vomit you!” (thanks Samah)

Samir Khalaf: the messanger of Western colonization in Beirut. I don’t have time to elaborate on this, but feel obligated to write something. Public Opinion in Lebanon. Statistic Lebanon Inc conducted a comprehensive survey of Lebanese opinion. I don’t know this particular firm so I can’t offer on opinion on their record. To the question “how did these recent events affect your opinion of the following politicians”, the answers were as follows: 79.75 % of Lebanese said that [...]

When you watch Arab media, and I include ALJAZEERA, you reach the conclusion that Arab media really think that Western people are more precious and more valuable than Arab people, or other peoples of developing countries. The colonized internalize the thought of the colonizers. And I have not seen Aljazeera do one story on the [...]

I finally can agree with `Abdullah of Jordan. I mean, fully agree. “”I don’t think people are taking us seriously,” he said.” So true, o Hijazi King of Jordan. So true. Nobody, I mean, nobody, takes you seriously, and I can add that nobody in the Arab world has ever taken any member of your [...]

“After stiff pleasantries, Bush issued an emphatic warning: If they revealed the secret program to the public and there was another terrorist attack on American soil, the Paper of Record would be implicated. “The basic message,†recalls Keller, “was, ‘You’ll have blood on your hands.’ —
