““No one believes we can live with Israel any more,†says a liberal-minded Jordanian newspaper editor. “If this goes on much longer, people like myself, who promoted peace, will get stoned in the streets.—

“In west Beirut yesterday, the Israeli air force destroyed eight apartment blocks in which six families were living. Twelve civilians were killed in southern Lebanon, including a mother, her children and their housemaid….The Israeli military appears to be efficient at destroying bridges, power stations, gas stations and apartment blocks – but signally inefficient in crushing [...]

My sister spoke a friend who remained in Tyre. He said that reports from the front line confirm that Israeli soldiers get very very frightened when they step on Lebanese territory. Some of the Israeli soldiers back to the Israeli side of the border as soon as they hear gunshots.

“the Israeli army, reeling under the Hizbollah’s onslaught of the past 24 hours, is now facing the harshest guerrilla war in its history. And it is a war they may well lose…Israeli military authorities talked of “cleaning” and “mopping up” operations by their soldiers south of the Litani river but, to the Lebanese, it seems [...]

“The Israel Defense Forces are recommending that once the cease-fire takes effect, Israel should begin withdrawing its forces from Lebanon relatively quickly.” I wonder why.

The songs on LBC-TV are just surreal. They basically glamorize Mount Lebanon, tabbulah–I kid you not–, Lebanese Army (although they don’t show them surrendering their weapons to the Israeli occupiers), and one song says that “Lebanon is full of civilization.” Do you think that LBC-TV is full of..civilization?

In 2000, when Israel was forced to humiliatingly leave South Lebanon, its army of surrogates, South Lebanon Army, had to flee for their lives. Some were protected by the Maronite Patriarch. Antoine Lahd, the head of SLA, later opened a Lebanese restaurant, Byblos, in Israel. He is now dubbed General Hummus in the Israeli press. [...]

I am amazed how similar Israeli propaganda today is to Egyptian state propaganda in 1967. They mock Hasan Nasrallah almost in the same way Egyptian propaganda mocked Moche Dayan in 1967. Ironic, no?

The Israeli state made it very clear that the purpose of the Israeli war on aggression is to end Hizbullah’s missile capibilities. Yesterday, a record 250 missiles fell on Israel.

Desmond sent this: “Everyone who watched CNN Larry King Live’s coverage of the “countown to ceasefire” was informed by CNN that there have been, quote: “at least 1,036 Israelis and Lebanese killed in 33 days of warfare.”

This is obscene. The official spokesperson of Syrian tyrant, Hafith Al-Asad, criticizes Arab governments for their inactions. What? Are you kidding me?

On anti-Semitism. Some people asked me to elaborate on my opinion that the article by Norwegian author Jostein Gaarder is a grotesque anti-Semitic piece. First, you can’t prove that something is anti-Semitic to anti-Semites. So I will address myself to the rest of my readers. Any attempt to hold Jews or Judaism responsible for the [...]
