“In letters exchanged between U.S. and Israeli leaders, U.S. officials assured Israel that UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan would be authorized to determine whether the area belongs to Lebanon or Syria, but that the future status of the territory would only be determined in negotiations between Israel and Farms’ rightful owners. A senior government source said [...]

“Who wins in this bloody debacle, assuming it is coming to an end? Given the continued fighting, that is still a big assumption. Not Israel, certainly. Even while the authors of this military adventure continue to try to carve out some notion of victory to sell the Israeli public, increasingly fewer people are buying it…Whatever [...]

Jihad Al-Khazin: the loser lies.

Since the Israeli war of aggression started, the Lebanese Army commander, Michel Sulayman, has been donning a béret. Watch out. That means that he is ready for war. Oh, ya.

The most effective and competent minister in the Lebanese cabinet, is the Minister of Health, Muhammad Khalifah. The most ineffective is the Foreign Minister, Fawzi Sallukh. As for Pierre Gemayyel–well, he does not count for anything.

“After a month of fighting, some 10,000 Israeli soldiers are still waging daily firefights in towns and villages that are five miles or less from the border. In fact, the fighting has sometimes been visible from the Israeli side of the frontier.”

Some people in the West wonder why Arabs support the right of Arabs to resist Israeli occupation of their lands. Are you kidding me?

Did Israeli commando raids kidnap any Lebanese grocers today?

Lies of Fu’ad Sanyurah. The Pierre Laval of Lebanon released a press release about his phone conversation with George W. Bush which did not include what the White House press release included. I am grateful to the White House press office for telling us the truth here.

The Lebanese cabinet, which includes two Hizbullah ministers, unanimously–and foolishly– supported the UNSC 1701 today. It registered 5 reservations ONLY. And the reservations missed some of the most dangerous elements that are embedded in the resolution.

The Arab-Israeli conflict has not changed course. It merely intensified, exponentially, in Lebanon and beyond. Only Israel does not know that.

There was a demonstration in Syria today in support of Lebanese resistance. I understand the sentiments. But it would have been more productive to organize a demonstration in support of SYRIAN resistance.

You want those to defend Lebanon from Israeli aggression? “The Lebanese soldiers left without their weapons.” These are the shame of Lebanon.

I would support a UNSC resolution that would, under chapter 7, disarm Israel.

As AlJazeera has great correspondents, `Abbas Nasir is not. He really really is losing it. He is more propagandistic for Hizbullah than Al-Manar’s own correspondents (he was formerly a correspondent for Al-Manar TV). He is not good for the credibility of Aljazeera’s coverage of Lebanon.

In strategic terms, the Zionist project never looked more weak; more fragile.

Lies of Israeli propaganda. In 1982, when the Israeli army invaded, it occupied areas on its way including the villages. This time around, they have not done, or they have not been able to do, any of that. Today, their propaganda talks about Litani River as if it is a straight line. The helicopter that [...]

You can not undermine the US/French/Israeli/Saudi conspiracy in Lebanon without going against Hariri Inc in Lebanon.

Hanady wrote: “Samira’s story is so sad. She reached Tyre hospital today, but she was injured on Friday when Israeli strikes hit her house in Dhayreh in South Lebanon. She was taken on a donkey ( yes a donkey) to Nakkoura , and from there they had to hitch hike to Tyre. By the time [...]

By Zionist standards, it is a great success to attack civilian targets. This is from the southern suburbs.
