Hamas will prove to be a more crude and more vulgar version of the Fath movement. You will say that Hamas is not corrupt: there is no evidence to that as of yet, although, like Fath, Hamas really enjoys Arab oil money, and its dependence on Gulf money explains its very polite language toward Saudi [...]

Lebanese demonstrators showing their deeds to lands they own in Shib`a Farms in South Lebanon. Yet, the UN (which does not have a say under international law in the demarcation of borders between nations which is an entirely bilateral issue) insists that the Farms are Syrian-owned, as if this statement justifies Israeli occupation of them.
Friends in Washington, DC tell me that supporters of the Lebanese Forces militia are being quite hospitable to sectarian warlord/medieval feudal landlord, Walid Jumblat, in his excellent adventure in the US. I never enjoyed this man during his years of submission to the Syrian regime, and enjoy him even less in his time of submission [...]
Apparently, in the session of Lebanese sectarian dialogue on Saturday, Samir Ja`ja`, the notorious war criminal, was blaming the Lebanese for Israeli crimes in Lebanon. Hizbullah helped Lebanese Forces achieve political representation in the last election. They thought that they were being shrewd.
