You see the Syrian singer Asalah or the Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakhirji and wonder: why are they so superior, at every level and by every standard and using any criteria, to the bevy of Lebanese singers and actors today? I know it is not genetics. Too much Hummus may be bad for you, I argue.
