`Ali Farzat is a Syrian artist. He is (in my opinion) the most gifted political cartoonist in the Arab world. He started publishing a witty satirical weekly (Ad-Dumari) a few years ago, but it was closed down by the government. A book of his political cartoons will soon be published in US by Cune Press.
