Kerry’s supporters may have a cause to celebrate. Kerry will double intelligence spending. And Kerry now accepts the cornerstone of Bush’s imperial doctrine; he now says he is willing to launch pre-emptive strikes. He will begin bombing Middle East countries as soon as he is elected. Help me understand this one. Time magazine now says that the “9/11 Commission finds ties between al-Qaeda and Iran.” And Cheney still insists that Al-Qa`idah is linked to Saddam (who fought an 8-year war with Iran); and US newspapers have linked Bin Laden’s enemies (and Saddam’s enemies) Hizbullah to Al-Qa`idah.
